MARTIN BÖTTCHER
GOGO WITH USCHI
23 German Comedy and Thriller Movie Themes
Martin Boettcher´s „Go Go With Uschi" and many other of the 22 pieces on this unique compilation are released on CD for the very first time. All titles are taken from original soundtracks of classic German comedies and thrillers during the period 1968 – 1971.
The groovy soundtrack pieces on this compilation are a feverish mix of mod, bossa, and jazzily swinging styles! The exceptional blending of moods – from funky and to easy going – in the instrumental pieces of the release is complemented by two great English language vocals: „Song Of Love“ sung by Don Blue and „Over“ performed by Ben Maxwell.

“Over” was arranged and produced by the German genius of Jazz: Claus Ogermann... He’s responible for some of the greatest recordings, among them albums produced for Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Diana Krall.

...great atmospheric easy-orchestra-tracks and sunshine-pop-vocal-songs from scores like "The Duck Rings At Half Past Seven" and "Dial Love for Murder".

"Traffic Jam" sounds like a Peter Thomas cue from 100% Cotton. With its groovy rock beat, "In the City" is borderline "Schoolgirl" stuff by Gert Wilden. "Kiss Me, Cat," with its surf guitar and quirky vibes, wouldn't sound out of place in an Italian spy caper... scorebaby.com
